Confidence is a robust sense of self. It is your own impression of yourself and your abilities. Having self-confidence indicates that you have a cerebral edge to succeed. While you may seldom doubt yourself, low self-respect can make you feel unmotivated and hesitant. If you’re looking to boost your self-confidence, you must know that you cannot achieve it overnight. However, here are a few tips to help you enhance your self-confidence:

1. Seek excellence, not perfection

It’s cliché but no man is perfect and that is the fact. Perfection comes with establishing unrealistic goals for oneself where one supposes that failure is unacceptable and deems himself worthless. If you pursue perfection, you lessen your ability to attaining self-confidence as you judge yourself against unlikely standards.

Before going to any event, meeting or a sales pitch, don’t go unprepared. Be ready to contribute to the subjects that might not be the part of the discussion but come up somehow. Contributing to the meeting would make you feel significant and can be a huge confidence booster.
