Cannes Festival 2019 will Open with Zombie Comedy by Jim Jarmusch Alice April 29, 2019 Cannes 2019 This time, Cannes Film Festival 2019 is set to open on May 14 with the worldwide premier of ‘’The Dead Don’t Die’ i.e. a zombie-based comedy movie by Jim Jarmusch. The movie has many famous stars named Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Selena Gomez, Tilda Swinton, Rosie Perez, Danny Glover, Chloe Sevigny and several others, while Focus Features is responsible to back the movie. Star-studded type of ensemble casting has made the zombie comedy film a no-brainer one for the night of Cannes Festival 2019 opening ceremony. The movie will be a premier one in the competition. According to the plot, stars of Dead Don’t Die named Sevigny, Murray and Driver will play the role of local cops to spring into action whenever the zombie outbreak starts influencing the citizens of a town. Jim Jarmusch has a good recognition and rich history with the mentioned famous Mexican film festival to make the opening slot an extraordinary one. Before this, Jim premiered its two movies in 2016. These are a documentary film named Gimme Danger, which highlighted Stooges, a famous rock band and a character drama named Paterson to premier in the competition.
