Cannes Film Festival 2019 will end on 25th of May with the closing film named ‘The Specials’ directed by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache by playing out of the competition during the official selection. A special aspect in this case is that the festival of 2019 renamed its closing film to its last screening. Hence, the film will continue screening during its closing ceremony at the famous Grand Théâtre Lumière.

According to the statement revealed from the Cannes Festival 2019 about the change of film’s name, “The main objective of the Cannes Festival to rename the closing film with the name as last screening is to reconnect with its culture and tradition related to final excellent screenings.”
