We’re a few months into the year now and I can’t tell you how ready for spring I am right now! My winter just seemed to be so dull and boring, partly because it was so cold that I didn’t even want to go out!

Now that it’s starting to warm up again, I can’t wait to start socializing again. Part of the fun for me is in the outfits – I love my spring outfits. You can’t beat the bright colors and airy designs. I’ve already started looking around and with so many shopping sites out there, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. From department stores like sears.com to boutiques like Fillyflair.com, there are more different items of clothing available than ever before.

With so much choice, how do you know what to buy? We’ve come up with 5 general suggestions that work really well during springtime.

The Maxi Dress

The classic maxi dress has been around for decades. By definition, it’s a comfortable dress because it’s loose and free-flowing around your body. They tend to have a nice fit in the top half so it looks great, while the looser bottom allows plenty of air flow in the hot weather. You’ll be able to move comfortably, keep cool and you’ll look great too.

A Colorful Top/Skirt Combo

Spring is a vibrant time and it’s full of color. Plants and flowers are blooming everywhere, the sun and sky are bright with a whole range of greens coming out in nature. Even the shops start to brighten their displays up, so why wouldn’t you brighten your attire? A colorful top & skirt combo scream springtime. Go for a loose fitting, comfortable top. Something with a cut-off design will keep you even cooler and the skirt is excellent for airflow and ventilation. This is another outfit that’s unrestrictive and easy to move as well.

T-Shirt, Mini-Skirt & Sneakers

Perfect for girls with gorgeous legs, this outfit is fun and functional. It’s easy to mix and match different items in this outfit so you can get a lot of mileage from a little investment. It’s a casual outfit and works great outdoors, but the mini-skirt will restrict what you can comfortably partake in. You can get around that with a pair of undershorts too though.

The Denim Effect

Denim is forever coming in and out of vogue. It’s a staple of most wardrobes and perfect for the springtime. A good denim jacket is hard-wearing and comfortable. Denim is a good material for the change in seasons, protecting you from the cooler weather and allowing you to be quite cool when it gets hot.

A pair of jeans is appropriate in almost any setting and they’re comfortable too. You can get different types of jeans for different climates too of course.

Sweater & Midi Skirt

A pick for the cooler days that come while the seasons adjust. A thin sweater is chic, comfy and cool. It’s great for a range of temperatures, and the midi skirt ticks the same boxes. You can make this outfit casual or formal depending on what specific items you choose. It’s really versatile.
